The Camden- Rockport Historical Society is located near the town line of Rockport and Camden, Maine, and maintains the Conway Homestead and grounds, which include the Conway House and Barn, Maple Sugar House, Blacksmith Shop, and the Cramer Museum.

The historical society hours for this summer are from Thurs-Sat 1 pm-4 pm or by appt. June thru Sept.

The Conway house is Listed in the National Register of Historic Places  and Maine State Register of Historic Sites,

Camden-Rockport Historical Society is celebrating Maine Maple Sunday with a sugaring-off on Sunday, March 22, at its Cramer Museum, located on the Camden-Rockport line.  From 1 to 4 p.m. there will be demonstrations of maple syrup making in the 1820s sugar house at the museum complex.


“Maple syrup-ice cream sundaes will be available in the museum”, says society president .


There will also be free samples of open fire pit cooking – Maynard Stanley’s famous chuck wagon beans and Maple-Ronie, and for sale  Maple filled cream puffs, and Maple Donuts.


It’s almost all free.  Maple-flavored donuts will be available for sale, and there will be a nominal fee for beverages.  Containers of the chuck wagon beans will also be available for sale.
